Seattle really surprised me and Motif did a wonderful job taking care of us during our stay. I’m certain you will love this downtown Seattle hotel just as much as I did!
If you’ve never been to Seattle, I know it can be overwhelming narrowing down a list of hotels to stay at. I had the opportunity to partner with Motif Seattle Hotel for two nights during our long weekend stay.
Staying at Motif Seattle Hotel
Motif Seattle is an artistic, chic hotel nestled in the cozy downtown corner of Pike Street and 5th Ave. Motif Seattle Hotel captures the energizing, creative buzz of the city’s art and fashion scene.
It gives you that right-at-home vibe while also letting you leave your worries at home during your stay in the emerald city.

Hotel Location:
As a city girl, I love to be in the heart of the action when I travel. I’ve grown to love the busy sidewalks, the view of cars passing by down below and looking out my window to see the skyline.
Motif Seattle Hotel offers all of that. The view from our hotel room faced the water and we were even lucky enough to be able to see the Seattle Great Wheel from our window. Even if you don’t have a water facing room, you’ll get fabulous views of the downtown area on the other side.

Motif Hotel Seattle is 5 blocks away from the famous Pike Place Market. We conveniently bounced back and forth from the market to our hotel at least once a day depending on what we had on our agenda.
The market has a lot to do from dining to shopping to people watching. We stopped by at least once a day throughout the weekend. Whether it was just to grab a morning coffee or take our time exploring the vendors.

Motif Seattle is also 2 blocks away from the Westlake transit center. If you’re taking the train anywhere in the city (including to and from the airport), this location is perfect for you.
On-site Dining:
I’m a huge foodie so going to a new city means lots of dining and drinking. If this sounds like you, you’ll love that Motif Seattle has an on-site dining and bar option called Frolik Kitchen & Cocktails.
This restaurant and full-service bar is open 7 days a week and offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. They even have fantastic happy hour deals. Hello, appetizers and aperol spritz!
My favorite part of the restaurant was the outdoor terrace. They’re located on the 7th floor so you can take in the view of 3rd street from up above while enjoying your cocktail.
We were there in May so the weather was still a bit crisp. The terrace has fire pits and portable heaters to keep you warm and cozy though.

If you already tried the restaurant and are looking for something else close by, check out Elephant & Castle pub located beneath the hotel. This is a British pub chain but you can’t go wrong with bar food and beer on tap.
Since the hotel is right in the center of downtown, there are also plenty of other restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.
Hotel Amenities:
The room décor was modern, eclectic and exactly what I would expect for a central downtown hotel. The wall of our living space was painted in a fun black and white pattern with a sectional couch in front of it.

Our room had a queen bed with a nightstand on each side and a desk at the foot of the bed. We also pulled back the blinds to a beautiful view of downtown.

Choosing to stay at Motif Seattle was a no-brainer. This place truly checked off everything I look for in a hotel. Affordable, check. Great location, check. Great amenities, kind staff members and views that left me in love with Seattle, check, check and check!
